| New | LMS now gives organizations the option of NOT saving tickler print job information. In a couple offices using certain virus protection software packages (such as Kapersky), the tables that LMS creates to store each user's tickler print jobs routinely gets a database internal consistency error apparently as soon after it is created. Checking this option in Setup/Preferences will tell LMS to bypass the saving and accessing of this data entirely. The down side, of course, is that labels and envelopes can be printed only immediately after the letters are printed and not anytime after that because the information is no longer being saved. |

It uses only 12 month statements of which there should only be one per tax year. This report also will consolidate the various entities' financials when that option is selected for any project. |
| New | Potentially, there are large print jobs on various screens in Reports and Letters that may take several minutes to create the report the normal way, so LMS will now give the option of a simplified print methodology that will render the report much more quickly BUT without the enhanced features that the preview screen normally has. | New | Custom Wizard Report enhancements and new features: 1) Ability to pick specific projects - this feature would likely be most useful when exporting to excel (since you can filter projects inside of a report already) 2) ability to have the name and company of all your custom contacts (borrower and internal.) Historically we had a few special contact types in the main reportdata (and will stay there for existing reports to work), but now there is another option that will enable the report wizard to create all the contact types (including custom ones.) In order to get this benefit, you must have the 'advanced reporting feature' turned on in the setup/preferences area. 3) much of the code in this area that gathers and prepares the data for reporting or exporting has been seriously optimized. The slowness would be most noticable on very large databases. In some of my testing, I've seen load times speed up by more than 75%. |

It will revert to whatever is chosen in this screen the next time a user enters this screen after records have been added. For example, if a user chose "Replace All Years" the last time in, it would retain that choice the next time the screen is accessed by any user. In other words, the only change that you will see is that it defaults to "Don't Apply Now" for newly added loans with this Setup/Preference item checked. |

If not, then you will need to DELETE your current authorization, and create a NEW one after updating to this patch or above. |

| SBA/Mandatory | The new SBA Guaranty fee (up-front fee) of .5% is now in LMS for loans being approved on or after Oct/2011. Also, the new Annuel Fee (ongoing fee) of .9375% is now in LMS and will print on the Servicing Agent for loans closing on or after Oct/2011. SBA has NOT updated the 504 authorization yet as it may take several weeks for the recent changes to get integrated. In the meantime, please override the guaranty fee with .005 and hit the 'Default' button so the wizard will save it for future projects. Also do this for the On-going Servicing Fee field (.9375). SBA has NOT determined the additional fee for temporary debt refinancing so that is still an unknown at this time. |

| SBA/Mandatory | e504 - On September 15, 2011, the Sacramento Loan Processing Center (SLPC) will start the Final Phase of the roll out for e504, a process to handle electronic 504 loan applications that are ASM. The Final Phase includes ASM CDCs financing 504 projects in Alabama, Arkansas, District of Columbia, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio, Texas, and Puerto Rico. This Final Phase will enable every ASM CDC to use e504 if they want. Also updated our website with CDC Guide for e504 version 3. |

| New | SBA has stated that there MAY be a period of time between the end of the Most Current Deferment Period and the beginning of the Calculated Catch-Up period where the borrower can make normal payments which may NOT to be less than the normal payment. As long as the Remaining Balance reconciles to the Amortization Schedule at or less than 60 Months from the end of the Most Current Deferment Period. The Catch-Up Calculator has addressed this and provides the capability for the user to specify an "Interim Payment Period" where the payments match those on the Amortization Schedule (The Normal Payment as defined by the Loan Documents) However, there have been a few occasions where Colson Services disagrees with this method of Calculating the Payment during the Interim Payment Period in the case where the Borrower has missed payments PRIOR to a 5 year Anniversary. They state that because the remaining balance is higher than that on the Amortization Schedule that The payment MUST be higher to accommodate paying ALL the principle each Month. There is validity to Colson's logic however it does cause the Borrower to make payments which are higher than those specified on the Amortization Schedule. As a result of this position that *some* Colson representatives have made to a few CDC's we have enhanced the Catch-Up Calculator to allow the user to specify which of these two methods they choose to use when producing a catch-up Plan that makes use of an Interim Payment Period. The user can now specify in the User Preference Screen which Method they desire to use and the program will remember their preference and produce Interim Payment periods which reflect their preference. The default is to use the Payments as shown on the Amortization Schedule as this provides a lower payment for the Borrower during this Interim Payment period (and in so doing a correspondingly higher payment downstream during the Calculated Catch-Up period.) By changing the Method of Calculation to the "Colson Method" the Borrower will make higher payments during the Interim Payment period but will make correspondingly lower payments during the Calculated Catch-Up period. The CDC should determine which Method most consistently is approved by SBA (with Colson acting as the "Gate Keeper") and set there User Preference to utilize that Method. |
